i have never riden a scooter or moped. can i ride?
Probably. Our EBC Personal Trainers are very patient and results-driven. They are happy to work with you and at your own pace. If you have the will, we have many ways!
can i come as a total beginner?
Definitely. Hopefully you come with basic mastery of a pedal cycle. One of our EBC Personal Trainers will assess your proficiency skill and provide instruction to get you going.
do you take group bookings?
Certainly. You can book your vehicles whenever you'd like. Whatever the need, we have the vehicles, the patience and skill to get your party on wheels. We take all the hassle of getting a large group on the move.
can i take a passenger?
Yes. Passengers must present themselves to sign the hire contract before we can issue a helmet. We like to see drivers and passengers together so we can assess a driver's control before heading out.
can i carry a little person?
Possibly. Safety of all our clients is of paramount importance. We have a number of vehicles suitable for carrying young adults and children. We are happy to show you our range of vehicles. Please understand that the final decision of whether to offer a vehicle, rests with management.
do i have to wear a crash helmet?
Yes - by law. A helmet is required at all times when you are operating your vehicle.
do all drivers have to go to “scooter school”?
We appreciate that many clients want to just jump on and go. We are happy to get you up and going as quickly as possible. However, Bermuda is an unfamiliar environment. Beyond our legal requirements, we want to completely prepare all for safe driving on the island's roads.
i have a big motorcycle or superbike in my garage. i don't need instructions. can i just have a bike?
Your safety is our Number #1 concern. Legally, we have to make sure that you are fully versed in basic road safety and information about driving in Bermuda's unique road environment. Ethically and legally, we have to check that you know where everything is, how to control your vehicle and are comfortable riding on our roads. We offer mini eDrive sessions for experienced drivers.
do you have a fast track sign-up program?
Yes. For advanced drivers, sign-up on the internet, let us confirm your booking and we can fast-track your rental. By law, we still have to give you minimum road safety instruction.
can i take my bike on the beach?
No! No! No! Many of Bermuda's beaches are national parks. We are concerned about preserving the pristine beauty of the natural, unbuilt environment. We would appreciate you honouring our homeland and leaving the Island in the state you find it. Our engines are also highly "allergic" to sand and we regret that we will have to charge you to restore your vehicle to road-worthy condition for any misadventure.
is there anything i should know before riding a scooter or moped? i just want a crash course.
We dislike cutting corners. We believe that it is important for all clients to be fully versed in the the rules and regulations and unwritten codes of driving on Bermuda's road. We provide all drivers with instruction when they collect a vehicle from us. A few useful things to remember
can I drink and ride home? For your safety and Bermuda experience, we strenuously encourage all drivers to refrain from drinking intoxicating beverages or pharmacueticals that impair your motorskills while riding. Establishments and residents are happy to call a taxi or arrange safe transportation to your residence.
i heard that you have a great safety record — one of the best on the island? why?
We are concerned about all motorists in Bermuda. We are exceptionally concerned about our clients. Our driver/safety instructor program uses the E*Drive instruction method and EBC Personal Trainers. Combined with our patience plus a NoRush™ policy we find that giving clients all the time they need plus these tools make a potent combination.
i have a large school or sports group. can you help me out?
Yes, we are happy to rent bikes to groups. Of course, all drivers must be of legal age and “graduate” our E*Drive basic driving proficiency program.

do I need health insurance?
It is recommended that you purchase health insurance that is also recognized in Bermuda. Visitors taking medicine prescribed by a doctor should bring a copy of the prescription in case it needs to be renewed by a doctor in Bermuda.
